Choosing Tennis Equipments for Beginners
Posted on 15 February 2008Tennis is a sport which I like to watch. I can spend several hours in watching tennis matches in TV or play tennis games in computer or game console. Psstt, but I cannot play tennis at all! Quite strange, isn’t it?? But someday, I hope I can get the opportunity to learn how to play tennis properly.
Considering that I will play tennis someday, I begin to explore the Internet trying to get more information on the tennis equipments that I need.
One of the most important equipment in playing tennis is the racquets. Based on some tennis racquets buying guide, I consider myself as a finesse player with a slow-to-moderate swing speed and a short, compact stroke; and therefore I need a power racquet to help me hit the ball harder.
From various review in the Internet, I found out that Babolat racquets are considered the best racquets available in the market. There are a lot of professional tennis players who use Babolat tennis racquets, such as Ashley Harkleroad, Rafael Nadal, etc. I will try to search for the best value racquets suitable for me via online tennis store.
The next thing comes to mind is the shoes. I was told that tennis shoes are as important as tennis racquets. My friend who is a good tennis player told me that if we don’t have a good pair of tennis shoes, we will not be able to run up the line or chase the ball to the court’s corner. Recognizing this fact, I tried to search for a good pair of tennis shoes and I found K-Swiss tennis shoes seemed good for me. It has a nice design, lightweight but stable, and the price is still within my budget.
After I get all the needed equipments, then I need to join a club and learn from the instructor. This is quite easy since some of my friends are regular tennis player. I have contacted one of my friends, and he had confirmed that he will help me in finding a tennis club for a beginner like me.
Yes, I will learn to play tennis someday!
